How do we hide from Paradise?
“Fragility, The Final Refuge” is a misplaced love-story between two men crippled by their preconceptions of what they are. Set in a utopian future where nobody’s marginalised, “systemic oppression” is a bygone term, and everyone just lives a damned good life, there are some who take refuge, who hide from the good. They clutch at their history and try to avoid The Beast that threatens to break apart their refuge and welcome them to the new, pleasant world of milk, cookies, and pluralistic inclusion. They are the broflakes, and their journey is the quintessential tragedy.
Sean Maroney, Charles O’Grady, and Shaun Colnan bring you a white boy masturbation cathedral. “Fragility” examines the toxicity of conventional masculinity. It bears all, its protagonists running a gauntlet into the absurd and the farcical. It sends up the self-aware, troubles the problematic, and makes a big dumb mess of itself. It’s an experimental ride into misled characters holding onto a backwards past. Egotism is fragile – come watch it be shattered into a bunch of delectable man-shards.
Doors at 8:30pm for a 9pm start.
