And we’re live! The oven’s caught fire, David is drinking and Peter has bad news. In a mid-eighties television studio, two of New Zealand’s most authentic stars are about to cook the most important meal of their lives. It’s the Christmas special and they’re up to their eyeballs in turkey stuffing and melting cream castles.

HUDSON & HALLS LIVE! Gives you a glimpse into the remarkable journey and outrageous behaviour of Peter Hudson and David Halls – two iconic TV personalities and New Zealand’s original great gay love story. Starring and amazing cast, including:

Todd Emmerson has been performing on stage and screen for over twenty years in New Zealand and has recently immigrated to Australia. He is a core cast member of New Zealand’s most popular drama series ‘Westside’ which is currently filming it’s fifth season. He toured extensively throughout New Zealand, Australia and the UK with the pop-musical ‘Daffodils’ winning numerous awards, including a Fringe First at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Chris Parker has been described as the next big thing in New Zealand comedy and is a regular writer and performer for TV3‘s JONO AND BEN and FUNNY GIRLS. HIs hit podcast The Male Gaze proved so popular it received funding for a TVNZ web series.

Emily Barclay is an AFI Award winning actress who has starred in television, theatre and film. Her television credits include Sisters, Offspring, Please Like Me, Lowdown, Glitch, Piece of My Heart, The Silence and Diary of an Uber Driver. Her film credits include Babyteeth, The Light Between Oceans, Weekender, Mr Pip, Love Birds, Lou, Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, Prime Mover, Suburban Mayhem and In My Father’s Den.

Laugh? This play is so funny you could die of it…It’s silly, and also complex, and very moving, all at once. Theatre rarely gets much better than this. – Metro Magazine

The daunting task of resurrecting the iconic duo is carried off with panache as the performers inhabit their personalities without falling into slavish imitation. – NZ Herald

Courtyard bar opens at 6:30pm for a 7:30pm start. Pop in before the show for a drink and a mingle!
