Jamestown Collective in collaboration with Sally Dashwood (Girls On Tap) presents:
Infusion, No Movement No Sound is a rhythmic assault to the senses, a collaboration of world music
and dance drawing on ancient rhythms and contemporary and traditional West African dance.
Rhythms are how we keep stories and tradition alive and working with multiple traditions of rhythm we can find connections together.
Infusion, No Movement No Sound brings together African dance artists Lucky Lartey (Ghana), and Yacou Mbaye (Senegal), and Sally Dashwood (Girls on Tap) accompanied by Maharshi Raval (India) on the Tabla and Byron Mark (Australia), percussionist and keyboards for in a spectacularly colourful, intercultural, multimedia and cross – artform performance.
