Improv Theatre Sydney is trying out some new shows for the month of February. Excellent casts and fresh new formats.
ITS Contact – Directed by Carlo Ritchie
Contact – take two improvisers who neither speak nor understand either of each other’s mother tongues. French, Tamil, Hakka… who knows, maybe Inupiat; two languages, two improvisers, one scene. ITS Contact!
Plus ITS Game, hosted by Ivy Latimer!
Real Door Monoscene – Directed by Maddie Parker
One simple scene. Entrances from outside the building. Players have no idea what they’re coming into but they gotta come in.
Plus Old Scene New Scene
Third Dates – Directed by Jarrad Parker
First date – fine. Second date – great. Third date – it starts to get interesting. Inspired by memorable real-life dating experiences, some of Sydney’s favourite improvisers will find out if love conquers all. And it all starts on their third dates.
Big Time – Directed by Zoë Rae (ITS Ensemble, filmmaker)
A cast of incredible character actors, lead by Ivy Latimer (ABC3, Raw Comedy finalist) create characters made up from audience’s written suggestions – names, occupations, pet peeves, you name it. These new characters meet each other on stage to create scenes and very entertaining mayhem.
