Refugee Voices

The first hand accounts of extraordinary people who have lived as refugees and asylum seekers.

The Amnesty NSW Refugee Network is incredibly excited to present ‘Refugee Voices’; this event is centred around the stories of extraordinary people who have lived through (and are still living through in some cases) the refugee and asylum seeker experience. The night will feature incredible guest speakers including:

–        Saba Vasefi,

–        Dr Munjed Al Muderis,

–        Najeeba Wazefedost,

–        Hani Abdile

–        and Berhouz Boochani (speaking about the impact of detention on Manus Island).

We hope that this fabulous night brings together some immensely inspiring speakers whose experiences and lives in Australia we are privileged to hear and share in. This event is supported by STARTTS (NSW Service for the Rehabilitation of Torture and Trauma Survivors), and also features a panel facilitated discussion/ Q and A session surrounding not only the individual stories of each guest speaker but also strategies with which to improve the treatment of refugees and asylum seekers at multiple levels. This is a night not to be missed at a premier venue, tickets are limited so get yours today!

Light food and refreshments will be provided.
