Alanta Colley presents:
Sci Fight is a quarterly science comedy debate from Melbourne, with your definitely qualified host Alanta Colley (citation needed) will attempt to govern a group of Sydney’s funniest scientists and smartest comedians to fight it out (rhetorically) for your approval (literally) live on stage (physically). It’s going to be eye-opening, mind blowing, and side splitting. No organ is safe!
We’ve got the brilliant Zoe Norton Lodge, Suren Jayemanne, Evin Donohoe, Ange Lavoipierre, Christie McMonigal, and Scott Chadwick, bringing the best of science and comedy together in a confusing and excellent sandwich.
This round’s topic: ‘Scientists Should Rule the World’.
Society has a lot of problems, mostly caused by whoever is in charge. Kings, generals, bankers, priests, they’ve all had their chance, and they’ve all made a right royal mess of things. Or a democratic mess, more recently.
We need leadership that’s rational, evidence based, and clearly labelled. It’s time the scientists had their chance to ruin things for everyone. It’s time the scientists ruled the world! Or is it?
Cast your vote at Sci Fight, where our caucus of scientists and comedians try to win you over with strange facts, good comedy, and no gerrymandering!
