Giant Dwarf presents:
Tiny Tunes is the new music event series for GD at their brand new home in Surry Hills. In the same way that we’ve been supporting emerging comics over the years, we want to celebrate the history of our new home and give some love to the amazing artists who bring us music.
Chill nights of musicians jamming, gigging, sharing songs and good times are here. Ain’t no COVID gonna be taking our creatives. Come out at support the arts <3.
For their first shows in months, Henry Hanson and Maia Marsh will be performing a collection of intimate folk songs that draw on influences both old and new.
HENRY HANSON is a Sydney based folk musician who combines tasteful arrangements with evocative melodies in order to create atmospheres that are both thoughtful and emotive. Having spent much of the last year wandering aimlessly around America, Henry’s music focuses on connections to people and places, as well as themes of loss and change. His debut “Planes, Trains and Other Ways to Travel” has arrived, focusing on acoustic, understated instrumentation and a lyrical emphasis on a connection to time and place.
MAIA MARSH The past year has seen me have the honour of playing with some incredibly talented people and my best friends. It’s been a year of getting outside myself and my head, leaving an album I was going to release behind and playing other people’s music. It’s been a great therapy for me and I couldn’t be more grateful. I’m excited to finally get some music out this year so stay tuned!
