Two Queers Festival presents:
Beth doesn’t understand why she struggles so much to keep a partner pinned down. She’s real hot, heaps smart, definitely funny and can do the sex good. Maybe it’s because she over-thinks everything and is A+ at self-sabotage? Or perhaps it’s her insecure attachment style as a result of childhood trauma?
Maybe it’s all – or none – of these things because love is a mystery, life is unfair and we’re all going to die alone anyway so let’s just keep doing our best, accept what we’re given and enjoy it while it lasts.
Join Beth for a well-informed journey via Psychology Today articles as she takes a sexually-liberated deep dive for answers to the eternal question of uncoupled lovers everywhere.
Directed by Marcel Blanch-de Wilt and featuring the fancy musical stylings of Marissa Saroca, Why Am I Still Single is a commiserating, vindicating and horny interrogation into modern dating life via a cabaret-infused stand-up Ted Talk.
Please note – This is a new-and-improved version of a show that was supposed to tour Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festivals before the apocalypse. Beth is happy to report that things that happened in lockdown have made this show EVEN BETTER and this will probably be the first and last chance EVER to catch Why Am I Still Single before she puts it to bed for good (not before making sweet love to it in front of a live audience, of course).
