Two Queers Festival presents:

Winner, Best Comedy Weekly Award, Adelaide Fringe 2020
Winner, Best Comedy Weekly Award, Adelaide Fringe 2019

A show about God, religion and forgiveness, told with bones, Krampus and the Blue Google Maps dot.

Zealot is a demented excavation of the structurally unsound layer cake that is one woman’s memories of God. In it, award-winning comedian and ABC journalist Ange Lavoipierre charts the course from 10-year-old evangelist to fully-fledged heathen.

Most of the ways God was explained to her inspired yet more questions. Does Santa believe in himself? Whomst amongst us will go to heaven? Was God the original herpes carrier? And is the blue Google Maps dot sentient? ‘Zealot’ has answers and will give you plenty to believe in.

Praise for Ange:
**** “Lavoipierre has a charisma and charm about the way she presents herself on stage… a versatile and attractive comedian with major skills” – Weekend Notes
**** “Mind melting shit” – The Skinny (UK)
**** “Honest, dark and wild” – The Adelaide Advertiser
**** “A powerhouse of a performer” – Plays To See (UK)
